Working principle of thermostat:
Due to the different coefficient of thermal expansion, the degree of thermal expansion and cold contraction of bimetal sheet is different when the temperature changes, so the bending degree of bimetal sheet changes at different temperatures.
When the temperature is higher than the expansion temperature of bimetal sheet, the contact position of bimetal sheet is deformed and the circuit is disconnected.
When the temperature is lower than the expansion temperature of bimetallic sheet, the contact position of bimetallic sheet will return to the original shape and close, and the circuit will close.
There are two types of temperature controller: normally open and normally closed
Normally closed: when the temperature is set, the temperature controller is in the normally closed state. When the actual ambient temperature drops to or approaches the set temperature, the load heating will be started. Generally, the temperature controller is in the normally closed state. When the actual ambient temperature is greater than the set temperature, the load is always in the shutdown state.
Normally open: when the temperature is set, the temperature controller is in the normally open state. When the actual ambient temperature is higher than the set temperature, the load cooling will be started. Generally, the temperature controller is in the normally open state. When the actual ambient temperature is lower than the set temperature, the load is always in the shutdown state.
